The Troy Rotary Club declared Julie Kitchen as "Troy Business Woman of the Year" at a special awards luncheon on Wednesday, November 28, at the Bank of America Building in Troy. Julie is a Community Affairs Analyst for Troy Beaumont Hospital.

The event honored thirteen local women for their business achievements as well as their charitable contributions to the local community.  Four finalists were also feted at the event, including business woman Linda Weaver, attorney Maureen McGinnis, Troy Library Director Cathy Russ, and Walsh College President, Stephanie Bergeron.

Nearly seventy people attended the event, which was emceed by Troy Rotary Club President Michael Caruso. There was a great mixture of fun, humor, sincerity and emotion during the awards ceremony.

Dean Sellers Ford, Via Media, Renaissance Spa of Troy, and Nina Simpson Jones sponsored the event.
