Zion Christian Church will host a community-wide Mom-to-Mom Sale on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 9am to 1pm with more than 100 tables filled with children’s clothing, books and toys.

The event will be held at Zion Christian Church’s main building located at 3668 Livernois in Troy. Admission is $1 and strollers are welcome. Early bird shoppers are welcome from 8:30am-9am for $2.

More than 1,000 shoppers attended last year’s sale and event planners are expecting that number to grow this year. Event director Jenn Cross, of Sterling Heights, has directed all of the church’s 11 sales over the past 6 years. When asked what has made the sale grow year after year, Cross praised the sellers.

“I’ve seen this sale grow from a couple hundred buyers to more than 1,000,” said Cross. “We have many repeat sellers who are seasoned at Mom-to-Mom sales, and that’s what makes this event so great- they set low prices and offer a good selection.”

She also adds that Zion’s building layout is ideal for buyers since it is built in a circle. “I’ve been to sales where I had to leave because there were too many sellers and buyers crammed into a small area,” said Cross. “This Mom-to-Mom sale has plenty of room for buyers to walk and for strollers to get by without a problem.”  

Tables for the March 2013 Mom-to-Mom sale are sold out, but another sale will be hosted in November 2013. To reserve a table at the November sale, call Jenn Cross at 248-524-2400 x333.

All proceeds from table sales and admission are used for community outreach, including Zion's anti-human trafficking program and teen mom outreaches.
