Metro Detroit Musicians Bring Dinner Theatre to Pontiac

Beginning August 23, a group of Metro Detroit’s finest performers bring family-friendly dinner theater to the Lafayette Grand Ballroom in Pontiac.

This unique musical experience, dubbed City Dinner Theatre, features cabaret-style seating in a ballroom recently restored to the glory of its 1923 debut. Visitors will enjoy a fully staged and choreographed revue of everyone’s favorite Broadway tunes, accompanied by delicious cuisine.

And for the grown-ups, City Dinner Theatre features a full cash bar on performance nights.

The revue is composed of songs from such blockbuster shows as “Hair,” “American Idiot,” “Hairspray,” “The Lion King,” and “Rent.” Motif (www.musicofmotif.com), a diverse and powerful group of performers fromacross the Metro Detroit area, will be accompanied by a live band to create an unforgettable night of fun.

The debut show takes place on Thursday, August 23. Doors will open at 7 p.m.;the curtain will rise at 7:30 p.m. Future shows are slotted to take place regularly on Tuesday evenings.
