Nancy Susick, president of Beaumont Hospital in Troy, has announced the appointments of two new leadership positions.

Debra Guido-Allen, R.N.

Guido-Allen, of Sterling Heights, has been named vice president and chief nursing officer at Beaumont Hospital, Troy, responsible for overseeing nursing operations of the 406-bed hospital. She most recently served as vice president of Nursing and Nursing Support Services.

Guido-Allen began her Beaumont career as a general surgical nurse. She later served as assistant nurse manager in Cardiac Care, and then manager of Cardiovascular Research and the Anticoagulation Management Service.

In 2001, she joined the nursing management staff at Troy, where she was instrumental in the achievement of Magnet recognition and for the development of the Troy Professional Nurse Council. She also led nursing efforts for the development of Troy’s open-heart surgery and interventional cardiac catheterization programs, and for the opening of a surgical intensive care unit, a cardiac progressive care unit and an inpatient oncology unit.

Guido-Allen has a bachelor of science in Nursing from Oakland University and a MBA in Health Care Administration from American InterContinental University.

Constance O’Malley, R.N.

O'Malley, of Clarkston, has been named vice president and chief operating officer at Beaumont Hospital, Troy.  She is responsible for daily operations of  the Troy hospital division, while working closely with executive leadership. O’ Malley previously served as vice president of Surgical Services, Trauma, Transplant and Ambulatory Services at Beaumont, Royal Oak and Beaumont Medical Center, West Bloomfield. 

Prior to coming to Beaumont, Connie held various leadership positions at St. John Health System. She also served as chief operating officer and vice president for Patient Care Services, vice president of Operations, and vice president of Professional and Support Services at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital. Earlier in her career, she was vice president of Clinical Services for Providence Hospital.

O’Malley has a bachelor of science in Nursing from Oakland University and a master’s degree in Administration from Madonna University.
