5 Places to Get Your Kids Moving Over Winter Break

Do your kids have energy to burn? We have five places can take them to let loose.

 

If your kids are bursting with energy over break, here are some local places to take them to get their sillies out.

1. Lloyd A. Stage Nature Center

Get the kids moving with a Holiday Nature Hike at the Lloyd A. Stage Nature Center. Kids will hike outdoors and look for animals. Parents must accompany their children. 10-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28. The cost is $7.

2. Troy Gymnastics

Troy Gymnastics has open gym for all ages from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Kids ages 1-5 can participate from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Cost is $5.

3. BounceU

BounceU has a daily (closed Christmas Day) bounce session that will appeal to everyone. Preschool playdates, open bounce, cosmic bounce and family bounce activities will get their little hearts pumping. Click here for the schedule; prices and hours vary. Call 248-626-5867 for details.

4. Skate World of Troy

Skate World of Troy has a smattering of options to keep the whole family active. From Family Skate, Teen Skate and Adult Skate, there is something for everyone. Check the schedule here for options and prices.

5. Ice Skating at Troy Sports Center

Troy Sports Center has open skating for those kids wanting to work on their ice skating skills. The open skate schedule is here. $6 for admission and $3 for skate rental.

Also, Thunderbird Lanes at Maple and Livernois is running a special - 2 games and shoes for just $5 for kids and $7 for adults any time before 5 pm from now until the end of winter break.
