Arrr matey! In a generous gesture most unbecoming of a pirate, Krispy Kreme in Troy is giving away a free Original Glazed doughnut to anyone who comes in Wednesday talking like a pirate.

The promotion is in honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, which is held every Sept. 19.

And to the most dedicated lads and lasses who arrive dressed as a pirate (no weapons, of course), Krispy Kreme will give away a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts.

An employee at the store in Troy confirmed many a landlubber have taken advantage of today's promotion, so you'd best be claiming your loot soon. Krispy Kreme is open until 10 p.m.
