More wasted tax $$$$$ make the pain stop!
We do not need the transit center since it costs a patron $28.00 one way ticket to Detroit. We can take a bus for just a few dollars! Ongoing maintenance, snow plowing, litter bugs, heat, violence, crime drugs, homeless people will sleep there. This is why Birmingham wants nothing to do with it, so why should TROY TAXPAYERS brunt the burden?
So a millage can be passed to finance this disaster that nobody wants? Remember the Long lake I-75 Interchange??? Here we do again, someone tell Governor Snyder to take his letter and shred it. We do not want, need, or have the ability to finance this 'white elephant' of the future!!!

You wanna take a bus to Chicago?
I'm also not really sure why you think transit center = drugs or violence. That does not equate.

I strongly support the vital Troy Transit Center and urge City Council to vote in favor of it.
Thank you,

This guy doesn't know anything about the citizens of Detroit. If I were one, I would be offended. But then again, I know where is ideologies come from.

Mass transit can generate wealth. Simply minimize your driving expenses and invest the savings. After a few decades you’ll be rich. It’s as simple as that.
Most households can reduce their vehicle expenditures. For example, owning and operating a typical new luxury car, SUV or van costs about $8,000 a year, and most households own multiple vehicles.
If you buy a reliable used car, share it with other family members, and minimize your driving by using transit, cycling and walking when possible, you can reasonably cut your vehicle expenses in half.
What happens if you invest the $4,000 annual savings at 7% annual return? In ten years you have $55,266, in twenty years you have $163,982, and in less than forty-four years you have a million dollars. In other words, excessive car costs waste a million dollars of accumulated wealth over a typical working lifetime.
Although you’ll lead a less mobile lifestyle, you’ll enjoy greater financial freedom.
