A few weeks ago, Patch posted blogs on the frenzy surrounding New York Times bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey by Amanda Levitt and Ann O'Neill. And the response to the steamy trilogy penned by E L James has been strong enough to have us wondering: what's next?
Now that the movie rights have sold to major Hollywood studios, it was only a matter of time before speculation swirled around who will play the characters embedded in the imaginations of millions of readers around the world.
The Huffington Post compiled its list and photo slideshow of candidates for all the story's major players. Did they get it right on Anastasia Steele, the headstrong but naive recent college graduate? What about complicated billionaire businessman Christian Grey, with whom she has an erotic sexual relationship that has female readers swooning?

I believe that if there is a movie made it will disappoint every reader out there that fell in love with these books! They will cut out all the steamy sex and will fail to meet everyone expectations. If they make a movie they need to find new actors to play these characters. All though all the actors listed are great at what they do, if I sit and watch this movie with them playing all I am going to see is them in the movies that they have been in before! It wouldnt make Fifty Shades Trilogy its own. This movie sould be done like none before it!

But if filmmakers don't tone down the sex significantly, it will be an NC-17-rated pornographic film. But perhaps that's what people want? Would you be OK with that, if it had an NC-17 rating and filmmakers stayed true to the book?

I would want it to stay true to the book, I think Ian Somerhalder and Miley Cyrus yes her why bc shes plain but yet can be very provocative and was great in Last kiss...she needs to do something like this so people recognize her other talent in my opionion

Personally, I saw Alexander Skarsgard as Christian Grey in my mind's eye when I read the books. He is perfect for the role, and he wouldn't be averse to keeping the story as true to form as possible even if that means an NC-17 rating.

They should stay true to the book or just not make a movie. It would be pretty neat if they do make a movie, they could have some of the fans sit in on the auditions so that they could get an idea of what the fans want. I still believe that it should be someone unknown.

look up KATE MARA as Anastasia... i think you will be surprised how well she fits the fictional character. She looks so innocent and is naturally beautiful, I've read the whole fifty shades trilogy and she is the only person I can/have imagined as Ana.
