Nominate the Best Family-Friendly Restaurants in Troy
Let us know the best family-friendly restaurants in Troy so we can put it to a vote and find out which is the Readers’ Choice 2012 winner!
What's the best family-friendly restaurant in Troy?
Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows about Troy to nominate the best spots in the city.
We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.
All you need to do to nominate a business is to add it in the comments below. If you already see the business you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included (we may not be able to add all businesses to our poll, and we want to make sure the top ones make it into the poll).
Thanks in advance for your participation!
PS: Sign up for the Troy Patch newsletter to find out when voting starts so you can support your favorite institution in the Readers' Choice contest. Also, don't forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter!

I nominate New York Burgers & Grill on Crooks and South Blvd.
I love their breakfast, especially the delicious ham. Not your usual pre-sliced, pre-processed kind, but is of the home-baked variety, not too salty and served in thick irregular pieces, just like home-made. Also you can substitute sliced tomatoes for the hash browns (huge portion!) if you are looking for a healthier option.
I've had dinner there a couple times and both were good: broiled whitefish and lamb shanks. The portions were large and the food was served piping hot...came directly from the grill, not sitting around under wamer lamps.
So if you are looking for food that is a cut above typical diner fare, I highly recommend New York Burgers & Grill .

I nominate Dickey's. You get your food quick and my kids are crazy for their macaroni and cheese...and the ice cream at the end of the meal is a bonus for all of us. In addition, they are extremely friendly there. It is our favorite place to go as a family.

Something different..."Dim Sum" Chinese tea lunch served on weekends at East Lake Restaurant on Long Lake and Rochester Road. Dim Sum fare is bite-sized morsels of stuffed savory meat or sweet dumplings traditionally served on rolling carts. This is inherently "kid friendly", since it is in small portions, great variety, and because it is on carts, the food is constantly coming out and you can preview it before buying. Kid favorites are barbecued pork buns. Adult favorites, so many, among them...shrimp dumplings, deep-fried spicy squid, mussels steamed in black bean sauce, various noodle dishes, yum!

New York burgers and grill in troy mi. They have the best burgers I ever ate and the best breakfast and dinner. I never went to a family restaurant that is nice as them. I hope New York burgers and grill wins because they deserve it
