The following information was obtained from the Troy Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is a recap of recent news from the Troy Police Department.

Repeat offender caught stealing from unlocked cars

Officers responded to the 500 block of Leetonia around 5:30 a.m. Sunday after a neighbor reported seeing someone on a bicycle looking inside of parked cars.

Officers noticed bike tracks in the snow and followed them to locate the suspect. One of the officers recognized the 24-year-old Southfield man, whom he had previously arrested for larceny from auto.

Police contacted neighbors, who determined the man had entered eight different cars. The man was found to have a large number of coins, two necklaces, a bottle of cologne, an iPod and several dollar bills on him when he was searched. He was arrested and charged again with larceny from auto.

According to a media release from Troy Police, the man was asleep in his bedroom when he heard someone knocking on his door. Before he could get out of bed, he heard a loud noise and saw a man standing in the doorway of his bedroom.

The man told police the suspect apologized, then fled the apartment. Police found the door to the apartment had been forced open.

The suspect is described as a 25-year-old male who is six feet tall.

According to a media release from the Troy Police Department, the couple stole baby clothing, digital cameras and other items. Their 3-year-old child was with them at the time and was later picked up by a family member.

How about giving us a complete description, like his RACE. Of course, most of us could probably make a fair determination, based on your reporting, especially if the "perp" is from DETROIT or PONTIAC, as most of these types of criminals in Troy seem to be.

These days they can be from any race, even white, especially if they apologize.. The times they are changing BT.
I do agree with you about this pc crap of not giving a full description if that is possible. Not doing that only feeds racism. I would not bet you are entirely wrong given the closeness of I-75, but given the fact that he apologized does not sound like Pontiac from my experience.

Big truth is right. Everyone is oh so worried about being called "racist" that they completely ignore statistics. The only thing that makes me thing Big Truth might be wrong in this case is that the man apologized and left.
