Didn't anyone count the votes on the democratic ballot?

There were 1,285 votes for Barack Obama out of 1,474 total votes. The remaining 189 votes were "uncommitted" or write-in votes, according to the document I received from the City Clerk's office. Is that what you were asking?

Cathy, it isn't really necessary to count the Dems votes, because Obama has it made
by the unions and the lectoral votes. But, a lot of the Dems cross over to Rep when
it is at this time to get the canadite that Obama can beat. So he can give them another new change for the next few years.

Perhaps the Dems are confident enough that Obama will beat any Repub and that they needn't influence the primary. On the other hand, if there is sufficient buyers' remorse for '08, those who voted for "hope and change" last time will settle for "change" in November. Maybe some Dems, like most Repubs, are now saying "Anyone but Obama."
In any event, some of us are wearing out the keyboard with either wishful thinking or a lot of guesswork. Or both. Including this poster.

Mr Lambert , No the above idea is incorrect . The democrats found no need to vote for Obama when there is only Obama and voted in the Republican primary or will support Obama in their caucus in May . If you read the voter poles most democrats are happy with Obama . No buyers remorse ... there is buyer remorse for those who voted out the democratice for congress in 2010

Ms Arking, the latest polling finds both Romney and Santorum ousting Obama in November, but I'll also agree that the situation remains fluid and anything can happen. Agreed, there was no need for liberals to vote in their own primary other than to protest.
There is no real evidence of buyers' remorse regarding 2012: While Congress continues to have the lowest approval rating, take note that 53% of those polled say they are satisfied with their own Representative. That is consistent with polling over the years, and it means a likelihood of a GOP majority returning. It seems that most of us like our own Rep and dislike the Reps elected by people in other districts.

Mr. Lambert:
I'm not sure where your polling data is coming from, but
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/us/general_election_santorum_vs_obama-2912.html
tracks a number of polls. There is one poll from USA Today/Gallup from a couple of weeks ago that has the President tied with Romney and Santorum leading by 3%. 5 other polls have the President (consistently) leading both candidates.
