Update: Troy Police Arrest Suspected "Cat" Burglars Friday

The following information was supplied by the Troy Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

UPDATE: Troy Police Department Investigators have arrested four subjects in connection with the “cat” burglaries, according to a Friday police report. Both of the reported stolen vehicles have been recovered. Thorough investigations into the home invasions are still being conducted. At this time, the names of the arrested subjects will not be released until their arraignment on the applicable charges.  

According to a Troy Police report, two homes within the city were victimized by "cat" burglars during the overnight hours of Jan. 30. The two homes were in close proximity to one another on Rhodes and Truffle Streets, in the Big Beaver and Dequindre vicinity. In both incidents, the suspects gained access to the inside of the home by way of a rear sliding glass door. In addition to the victims' vehicles, electronic equipment was also taken during the incidents.

Troy Police investigators are seeking anyone who has information to call the Troy Police Tip Line at 248-524-0777. Police are also warning citizens to be on the lookout for any suspicious behavior, people or vehicles.

Jan 30 crime. Feb 1 arrests. Police were not pussy footin' around.
