When and Where to Get Your Tigers World Series Tickets

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Hey, Troy – can I get a ROAR!?

Our beloved Tigers, who play the New York Yankees in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series tonight at Comerica Park, are 3-0 after last night, which means they are just one game away from clinching the ALCS and moving on to the World Series for the first time since 2006.

If they proceed, they will play games 1, 2, 6 and 7 of the World Series away* and games 3-5 here in Detroit, according to the Detroit Free Press. They will play either San Francisco or St. Louis.

Here's where you can get your tickets.

Where to buy World Series tickets

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today. You can get yours online or by calling 866-66-TIGER. According to the Detroit Free Press, ticket prices range from $110 (skyline) to $310 (on-deck circle), and most upper-deck seats go for $235.

GO, TIGERS!

*Games 3-5 would be played at home in Comerica Park and games 1, 2, 6 and 7 would be played away (we originally reported games 1, 2, 6 and 7 would be played at home).

Nooooooo!
(I don't much believe in superstitions but...)
Shouldn't we wait to win the ALCS before posting ANYTHING about being in the World Series and especially selling tickets? I direct this more at the Tigers organization than at Patch as I understand the Tigers announced ticket sales and you are simply reporting this.
Go Tigers! See you in the World Series!...?

Yeah, I was also kind of surprised they started selling tickets before the Tigers officially make it to the World Series. I hope it doesn't jinx this afternoon's game!

They have to in order to get them distributed in time. Purchase Wednesday. Print and ready mailings (1-2 days). 2 days in the mail. You're getting them in the mail next Tue/Wed. All the teams do it.

I don't know, I always print mine (usually because I buy them the day before). Do they not allow you to print off your own postseason tickets?

When buying through Stubhub you can print. Stubhub is tickets sold from people that have already bought the tickets from the Tigers or Major League Baseball (MLB).

When buying from the Tigers website or MLB, they mail you a ticket. If you buy too close to the actual game date, you have to pick up at Will Call prior to the game.
