A Different Way to Get Into Walsh College

Fall is coming sooner than you think and at local business university, Walsh College, potential students are putting the finishing touches on their applications for fall priority registration. Wish you were one of them?

Many of you who have been interested in Walsh’s specialized business programs, already know that you need at least 60 college credits before you can be accepted. But what you may not know, is that there’s an alternative pathway to get into Walsh’s degree programs, even if you don’t have the required credits—taking advantage of Walsh’s transfer partners.

Plan ahead and plan to transfer
I work at an online transfer school, Ivy Bridge College, that’s Walsh’s online transfer partner. We talk to students all the time, who are looking to get into one of Walsh’s programs but don’t have the credits yet. So how do they get in? By starting with a two-year school like us and making a transfer plan.

Choose a transfer partner that suits you
Transfer partners are colleges that Walsh has mapped course equivalency guides for. That means if you come to one of 27 Michigan, Idaho, Ohio, or Canadian community colleges, listed on their transfer page you can be assured that your credits will transfer by checking the guides and enrolling in the right courses.

Take a look at the online 2+2 option
If you’re interested in taking your first 60 credits online, Ivy Bridge College and Walsh’s 2+2 program might be a good fit for you. The great thing about 2+2 is you only apply once to get into both colleges. The courses you need to take are already planned for you, so there’s no lost credit hours and no wasted time. And as long as you get at least a 2.0 in all the required Ivy Bridge courses, you’ll seamlessly transfer to Walsh.

Whatever you choose—don’t give up on your education! If you’ve been looking for a way to get into the business programs at Walsh, there are options out there and people to help you.
