The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Michigan Chapter will host its fourth annual Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering and Technology Symposium (GVSETS) Aug. 14 -16 at the Troy Marriott.

With a focus on industry and government collaboration, GVSETS will feature high-level government speakers who will discuss their respective plans and priorities. Keynote speakers will include: Dale Ormond, director, U.S. Army, Research, Development and Engineering Command; and Maj. Gen. Nickolas Justice, assistant military deputy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology). In addition, panels the following topics will be featured:  Successes in Technology Transition; International Technology; and a Program Executive Office question and answer session.

According to Chuck Prikopa, GVSETS chairperson and vice president of TACOM LCMC Customer Support at BAE Systems, the goal of the event is to inspire participants to work together to create the types of technical breakthroughs that war fighters need to dominate the battlefield and return home safely.
