DESCRIPTION:The City of Auburn Hills has lined up a host of sights\, soun
 ds and flavors for two days of fun at its annual Summerfest celebration.
 &nbsp\; The &ldquo\;main street&rdquo\; event will take place Friday\, J
 une 22\, 4-10 pm and Saturday\, June 23\, 10 am-10 pm in the heart of do
 wntown at Auburn and Squirrel Roads.\nThe festivities kick off Friday af
 ternoon with the opening of &ldquo\;Kidz Korner\,&rdquo\; live music and
  a new Arts &amp\; Craft Fair centered downtown and featuring many uniqu
 e and one-of a-kind items created by artists from around the state. The 
 Kids Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest runs 4-7 pm and everyone is invited to t
 he time-honored &ldquo\;Ice Cream Social&rdquo\; served by City Council 
 members in the big tent from 6-8 pm. Teams entered into the City&rsquo\;
 s renowned BBQ Cook-Off sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society w
 ill begin prepping and slow-cooking their barbecue favorites for a panel
  of judges to select winning recipes on Saturday. Music lovers can enjoy
  a live radio broadcast from Steve Costan and his WCSX 94.7 FM classic r
 ock &ldquo\;Hometown Fridays&rdquo\; crew on Friday night.\nLive stage e
 ntertainment on Friday includes:\n\nSound Wave Band\, 4:15 pm\nChautauqu
 a Express with Guy Louis\, 6 pm\nLegend the Band\, 8-10 pm\n\nBoth days 
 will feature local restaurants and street vendors offering tasty food\, 
 snacks and beverages throughout the festival\, in addition to activities
  in the Kidz Korner\, including a giant obstacle course\, moonwalk\, inf
 latable bouncers\, face painting\, balloon artistry\, clowns and more.\n
