The USA Melting Pot Club will hold its second meeting Thursday, June 28 from 7-9 p.m. in the Troy Public Library meeting room.
Ajay Pandey will speak on India's culture; canoeing will be the hobby topic. Then an hour of Table Time conversations will occur to plan the club's activities, including a pot-luck picnic at the Troy Historic Village Sunday August 19.
Other Thursday evening meetings and topics are:
- July 26 Korean culture and camping
- August 16 German culture and soccer
The club's purpose is:
- To help newcomers assimilate into the USA
- To celebrate ethnic background and cultural identity
- To provide a forum for conversational English
- To encourage face to face dialogue in our increasingly technology-dependent world.
