Troy to See Road Updates from Special Legislative Funding

Change is coming to Livernois and Crooks roads, according to Troy's State Representative.

Two roads in Troy will receive improvements in 2014 thanks to special state road funding grants made possible by the Michigan Legislature, announced state Rep. Martin Howrylak.

Livernois and Crooks roads will both see road improvements with the help of $1.7 million in grants.

“These road improvements are a great thing for the city of Troy, and a great step in a positive direction for the roads and bridges across Michigan,” said Howrylak, R-Troy. “Better roads are necessary in keeping Michigan residents safe and in strengthening local commerce.”

Road and bridge improvement projects will take place across the state through the $115 million Roads and Risk Reserve Fund.
