As Carrabba's Italian Grill prepares to open its first Troy location on Monday, January 13, the restaurant has announced that it will donate 50 percent of its opening day sales (up to $5,000) to the Boys & Girls Club of Troy in support of programs benefiting local youth.

The new restaurant is located at 600 W. Big Beaver Road just off I-75 in the Galleria of Troy, less than three miles west of the Boys & Girls Club of Troy.  Carrabba's will open for lunch at11 a.m. immediately following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:45 a.m. with the Troy Chamber of Commerce and city officials.

"At Carrabba's one of our principles and beliefs is to actively participate in the neighborhoods we serve," said Kevin Ellis, Managing Partner of the Troy Carrabba's. "We're ready to do our part to enhance the quality of life in the communities we live and work in, and we're happy to deliver on this commitment by supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Troy."

Carrabba's impact in the community is also felt by the nearly 120 area residents hired to join its workforce.

"We are grateful that Carrabba's selected us to benefit from their grand opening, and we are looking forward to developing a wonderful partnership with this new member of our community," said Jeff Evans, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Troy. "It is through the generosity of local citizens and businesses such as Carrabba's that we are able to effectively serve so many young people at the Club."

The restaurant is the first in the Detroit area with the new design that features a mix of traditional and contemporary design inspired by the look and feel of Italy. The 5,654-square-foot location features an open kitchen atmosphere, a relaxed and casual dining room with family tables, and a modern Italian bar.
