Saks’ Key to the Cure Shopping Weekend to Benefit Henry Ford Health System

Saks Fifth Avenue at Somerset Collection in Troy is offering the public an opportunity to shop while raising money to support research and treatment for women’s cancers as part of its annual Key to the Cure Charity Shopping Weekend, being held Thursday, Oct. 18 – Sunday, Oct. 21.


During the charity shopping weekend, 2 percent of sales at Saks Fifth Avenue in Troy will benefit the Josephine Ford Cancer Institute and the Francee and Benson Ford Jr. Breast Care & Wellness Center at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital.

To kick-off the shopping weekend, Saks will host a special event from 5:30 - 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18 at Saks Fifth Avenue, Somerset Collection. This festive “Girls Night Out” of beauty and fun will feature cocktails, sumptuous hors d’oeuvres provided by Detroit’s favorite restaurants and caterers, makeup artists, psychics, a photo booth, DJ entertainment and more!


Since 1999, Saks has donated more than $31 million to women's cancer charities nationwide.

Tickets for the Oct. 18 kick-off event are $75, and include a special gift, while Friend Tickets are $60. Both tickets include a $50 Saks Fifth Avenue gift card, redeemable Oct. 18 in cosmetics and fragrances at Saks in Troy.
