Troy Photographer's Work Showing at Goldner Walsh Garden and Home

The work of William Cowger will be on display in Pontiac April 12.

The following information was provided in a press release.

African safari photographer William Cowger will have a showing of his African safari photographs on exhibit at Goldner Walsh Garden and Home (559 Orchard Lake Rd., Pontiac) from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013. The event is free and open to the public.

In 1999, after 30 years in the computer industry, Cowger decided he really wanted to be an international travel and wildlife photographer.  Since then, his passion for the art of photography, love of Africa, and the thrill of the bush has become his reality.

“I have captured so many images of amazing wildlife in the Serengeti that selecting just 25 photos for an exhibition is a challenge," said Cowger. He has organized more than 20 photo and safari workshops to the "Greatest Natural Show on Earth," as he calls the Serengeti ecosystem.

While Cowger has traveled to 56 countries, the only place that keeps drawing him back is Africa. "I will never tire of observing each of my guests experience their own personal 'wildlife special' on each trip. It is a life changing experience for most, and at least the trip of a lifetime for all."

In between trips, Cowger is a commercial photographer providing advertising images of people, places and products.
