Hair was cut. Records were broken. On Aug. 23, Lady Jane's proved, once again, that when you put your head to it, you can be wicked awesome. You can even end up in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Hundreds of men and boys visited the Lady Jane's headquarters on Rochester Road in Troy to get a free haircut, enjoy rubbing shoulders with celebrities and partake in the historic event. In all, 652 haircuts were performed, and Annie Smith cut 101 of the 652. This shattered the old record of 392 haircuts in 12 hours by 10 stylists and established a new individual record for the number of haircuts in 12 hours by one stylist.

"This was an incredible day for an incredible company," said Tim McCollum, Lady Jane's President. "Breaking a World Record is more than just a feather in our cap. It’s a testament to the hard-work we’ve put into building this business."
The event also marked the launch of Lady Jane's charitable foundation, Wicked Awesome Wishes, which seeks to connect families in need with those who can help.
