Verizon Opens New 'Smart Store" in Troy

                                      Troy's first Verizon Wireless Smart Store is now open.  Verizon Wireless customers are invited to experience a new way of discovering technology with the mobile lifestyle in mind. 

The store is located at 636 W. Big Beaver, and features 5,000 square feet of showroom space ands 24 full time employees.                                                                          “We are reinventing the wireless customer experience by changing the focus of our stores from selling devices to enabling customers to discover all that wireless technology can do for their mobile lifestyles,” said John Granby, president of Verizon Wireless for Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky. “Our 4G LTE network allows us to offer technology solutions that focus on the lifestyles of our customers, bettering their experience.”

Verizon Wireless introduces its new retail store design to make shopping for wireless devices and services more convenient and more personalized. The redesigned stores are called Smart Stores and feature products in mobile lifestyle zones, which include:

This is the seventh Smart Store to open in Michigan.  Verizon Wireless plans to convert its entire fleet of 1,700 communications Stores into Smart Stores over the next few years. Verizon Wireless store representatives now use tablets to assist customers with sales and service. Representatives are able to spend more time with customers with the barrier of the cash register/counter eliminated. The company is also integrating systems to make it easy for customers to do business with us across all contact points – online, in stores and through telesales.
