Reaching Out to All Residents of Troy

Outreach services can bring the library to people who can't visit on their own.

Hello! The Troy Public Library wants to serve all the residents of Troy, including those of you who may not be able to come to the library in person, due to a temporary or permanent condition. So, if you can’t come to the library, we will come to you! All homebound Troy residents are eligible to receive free delivery of library materials. You need a valid library card; we will work with you to make that happen if you don’t already have a card. Once you have a library card, you can choose from the entire collection of regular and large print books as well as books on CD and Playaway. We can even show you how to download eBooks onto your iPad, Nook, or Kindle, and how to use the library’s services such as databases, from home. Deliveries are made on a schedule, usually once every 2-3 weeks. No one should be without a good book to read. Your library is here to help you! If you would like to sign up for Outreach Services, please contact Roger at 248.524.3554. If you need more information, please email me at C.Russ@troymi.gov. If you would prefer to receive materials through the mail, please contact the Oakland County Talking Book Service at 248.650.7150. Please pass the word about Outreach Services at Troy Library. Have a great week!
