5 Camps and Activities for Kids During Winter Break

Do you need child care over break, or are you looking for a way to keep the kids amused over the next couple weeks? Here are places you can go.

If you're looking someone to watch your kids over winter break or somewhere to bring your kids to keep them entertained, here are five options.

1. Swim, Rock Climb and Get Active

has something for everyone. If you are a member and looking for a camp that offers care for a long day, this one is for you. Camp is for kids ages 5-12 and will include crafts, gym activities, swimming and rock climbing. Camp runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Kids need to bring a lunch, bathing suit and towel. The camp runs the week of Dec. 26-30 for $160. To register, call 248-267-1000.

2. Let 'em Bounce

If your kids have been stuck inside lately and are starting to get antsy, has a daily (closed Christmas Day) bounce session that will appeal to everyone. 3. Winter Break Aqua Camp

Winter Break Aqua Camp at the will keep your kids amused with games, activities, gym time and swimming with a pizza party at the end of the week. Ages 6-13 are welcome. The camp runs Dec. 26-30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $135 for the week. Call 248-524-3584 for registration and information.

4. Learn to Skate Christmas Camp

It may not be cold enough to skate outside, but the indoor rink at the will teach your kids how to skate like a pro. Their Learn to Skate Christmas Camp is for all ages and all levels. Camp runs this Tuesday through Friday from 10:10-11:00 a.m. and costs $44. Call 586-354-1115 for information and registration.

5. Flip and Tumble

has either a half-day or full-day camp option for kids ages 5 and up this week and next week. Half-day camps run from 9 a.m.-noon or from noon-3 p.m; full-day camp is 9 a.m.-3 p.m. On the agenda is gymnastics, crafts and stories.
