Santa's almost here, and though Troy probably won't have a white Christmas this year, there may be a dusting of snow on the ground by the time the big guy gets arrives.

Here's a look at the weather forecast for Troy for the next few days, courtesy of the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac.

Tonight: Flurries are possible after 7 p.m. with the temperature holding steady around 30 degrees.

Saturday: The day will start out cloudy and eventually become mostly sunny with a high near 38 degrees.

Christmas Eve: Clouds will start to move in, and temperatures will dip down to about 28 degrees.

Christmas Day: The day will be partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of scattered snow showers and a high near 39 degrees. The wind will pick up to between 10 and 18 m.p.h. with gusts as high as 26 m.p.h.

Sunday night: Clouds will eventually give way to clear skies with a low around 26 degrees.

The week ahead: Monday is expected to be sunny and slightly warmer with a high near 40; Tuesday may be snowy with a high near 39. Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 34, and Thursday is predicted to be mostly cloudy with a high near 38.
