What's Going on in Troy This Weekend?

A Ridgedale Players show and family bowling highlight the weekend.

The weekend is here, but what are you doing with your time off? For those of you who are staying close to home, here's a peek some of the events on our events calendar this weekend:

  • Spend Saturday night laughing as you watch the Ridgedale Players perform the One Acts Festival, a preview of the group's upcoming musical "The Drowsy Chaperone". Every year Ridgedale members interested in qualifying to become a director have the opportunity to share their skills during this free show at 7 p.m.
  • Head down the road to Rochester to check out the city's Fire & Ice Festival. The three-day event includes activities such as an ice sculpture show, snow-tubing and cross-country skiing in downtown Rochester. Click here for a complete schedule of events.
  • Spend some time with the family at Thunderbird Lanes Saturday night. There will be bowling, games and prizes, music and all-around fun for the entire family. The cost to participate is $25.
  • Enjoy the mysteries of nature at night during the Troy Nature Society's Full Moon Walk at the Lloyd A. Stage Nature Center. Discover the different kinds of wildlife that come out when the moon is up. The program, for ages 7+, begins at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

What else is going on? Tell us about your event in the comments below and post it on our calendar of events by clicking on the "events" tab above.
