In addition to the 10K, 5K, and Kids Superhero Dash, we are very proud to advocate for a family friendly event once again. We will have a bounce house, face painting, balloon making, and cotton candy machine, amongst other things.

As proof from last year, this is an event supported by all walks of life to show we will not let life define us, but we will strive to define life together. Although 100% of all funds go directly to labs funded by ASA, we have a tribute wall and honor all of those who have lost the battle, who are currently fighting, and who will unfortunately join the fight against ANY tragedy or ailment later in life. We make it known that nobody fights alone; not for a single second.

Last year, the funds raised at the 1st Annual Troy Angiosarcoma Awareness Run/Walk were put into effect on July 17, 2013, when a research grant was awarded to Dr. Vinod Ravi, M.D. at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston TX. The Isabella Nicole Slot Angiosarcoma Awareness Inc. Grant, in the amount of $25,000.00 is a direct result of the Troy ASA 5k on May 4, 2013.

In addition to last year’s grants, thanks to your generosity, ASA funds have also been allocated to:
• Funding ASA’s research laboratory at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
• Grants have been assigned and granted to angiosarcoma specific research at the following centers:

Because of these partnerships, two clinical trials targeting Angiosarcoma are currently underway.  These have become possible because of your hard work and dedication.  You are helping paving the way towards a cure.
