St. Jude Give thanks. Walk

99.5 WYCD Sponsors Detroit St. Jude Give thanks. Walk at Somerset Collection in Troy, on Saturday November 17, 2012 at 8 am

CBS Radio Detroit's country music station 99.5 WYCD is one of the sponsors for the second annual St. Jude Give thanks. Walk event in Detroit being held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at The Somerset Collection in Troy.

The walk is an indoor 5K, non-competitive, family friendly event to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which strives to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.  It is also a grass-roots kickoff to the St. Jude Thanks and Giving, a fundraising and awareness campaign.

"It's heartwarming to see all of the support for the children of St. Jude, who are the real heroes and an inspiration.  Thanks to all of our WYCD fans and everyone in Metro Detroit for supporting this noble and worthy cause," said Tim Roberts, Program Director of 99.5 WYCD.
