Leadership Troy 44th Annual Community Awards Banquet

Leadership Troy 44th Annual Community Awards Banquet

On October 17, 2012, Leadership Troy will host the 44th Annual Community Awards Banquet at St. Nicholas Greek Cultural Center at 760 West Wattles Road (between Livernois and Crooks).  This annual event honors the significant contributions of individuals and businesses who give back to the Troy community.  Leadership Troy is sponsoring nominations in three separate categories.  Distinguished Citizen Award: for the individual who best represents volunteerism and devotion to the betterment of the Troy community.  Outstanding Volunteer Award: Troy community organizations can honor an individual who has helped their organization thrive.  Business Community Appreciation Award: for a Troy business that has contributed generously to a non-profit organization or to the Troy community with their financial support, time, and energy.

“This banquet pays tribute to the high quality of volunteerism that makes the City of Troy such a great place to live,” said Leadership Troy President Jim Cyrulewski.  “Last year Terry Knight was Troy’s Distinguished Citizen, Telly’s Greenhouse and Nursery was selected for the Business Award and 15 community organizations chose to recognize their outstanding volunteer of the year.  We look forward to this year’s honorees joining such select company.”
