Suburban Toyota Previews Avalon for Customers

Special news preview on all-new Toyota Avalon held for consumers and media at Suburban Toyota.

By John McCandless

Consumers and local media attended a special preview for the all-new 2013 Toyota Avalon on Wednesday eveing, December 12 at Suburban Toyota.

“The new Avalon was designed and engineered practically in our backyard,” said David Fischer, Jr., General Manager of The Suburban Collection automotive group, noting that this work was done by Toyota engineers and designed in Ann Arbor.  “And, it’s built less than 500 miles from here in Georgetown, Kentucky.  We wanted our customers to be among the first to experience this spacious sedan, flagship of the Toyota line.”

The event was covered by The Detroit News.  http://apps.detroitnews.com/apps/multimedia/gallery.php?id=15267  A technical presentation was given by Marvin Allen, product training specialist for Toyota Motor Sales, USA.

For 2013, Toyota has dramatically altered the chemistry of Avalon’s
formula, creating a new potent and persuasive sedan that helps shift the
product’s generational appeal while symbolizing Toyota’s exciting new design
and product direction for future sedans.

Additional information on the new Avalon is available on Toyota's www.newsroom.toyota.com media site.

The new Avalons were released for shipment to dealers this past Monday.  Suburban Toyota received their first Avalons on Tuesday.

Good news for Troy. And hopefully they'll be hiring some new workers, too.
