Police responded to Manic Shoes on Monday, when approximately $300 was missing from a locked cash register in the store. Police said that in reviewing in-store video, a man identified by a fellow security officer as the security manager was seen going into the register.

Police interviewed Maul, who admitted to the theft at Manic, along with four other thefts that have happened at the mall since Jan. 7, according to police. In a statement released Tuesday, Prudential Security called the situation an "isolated, internal incident."
