A man reported being assaulted by his daughter's maternal grandmother Saturday afternoon at . Both the man and the girl's grandmother were attending the girl's birthday party.

Driver arrested with pint of vodka in vehicle console

A Troy Police officer responded to a report of a vehicle weaving all over the road late Sunday afternoon near Rochester and Square Lake roads. The officer located the vehicle and pulled the driver over.

According to a police report, the driver smelled of intoxicants and had slurred speech. The officer searched the man's vehicle and found a pint of vodka in the console, according to the report.

The 49-year-old Troy man's preliminary breath test results were 0.29 percent – more than three times the legal limit of 0.08 – and he was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

Teens found in vacant home arrested for possession of marijuana

Troy Police responded to the 2000 block of Hill Friday afternoon after a neighbor reported seeing several young men enter a vacant bank-owned home through the back door.

Officers found eight people and several packages of marijuana in a bedroom inside the home, according to a police report. A 16-year-old male from Troy was arrested for entering without breaking, and a 16-year-old male from Rochester Hills was arrested for entering without breaking and possession of marijuana, according to the report.

The remaining six young adult males were all arrested; five were charged with entering without permission, and one was charged with entering without permission and possession of marijuana, according to the report.
