Homeowner's Lawn gets 'Forked;' 'Aggressive Raccoon' Scratches Grilling Man

Man scratched by raccoon

A 37-year-old Clawson man on the 5000 block of Breeze Hill reported being scratched on the foot by an "aggressive raccoon" last Wednesday, Aug. 1, when he went out onto the patio to use the grill, according to a media release from the Troy Police Department.

Lawn equipment stolen from golf course

Somerset Golf Course representatives reported three pieces of lawn equipment stolen from an unsecure shed last Wednesday, Aug. 1. A suspicious male wearing a hard hat and an orange safety vest was seen in the area just before the theft and was also seen leaving in a green Buick four-door vehicle, according to Troy police.

Car vandalized with wood chips

A vehicle owner on the 2000 block of Hillcrescent reported early Thursday morning that someone had put wood chips through the sunroof and open windows of his vehicle, then twisted off the rear window wiper arm.

Resident's lawn gets 'forked'

A homeowner on the 6000 block of Basswood called Troy police Saturday morning after discovering the front of his home had been egged and toilet papered, according to Troy police.

The grass in front of the man's home was also spray painted black, and numerous plastic forks were stuck into it.

Truck stolen 'as a prank'

The owner of a Ford F150 pickup truck informed police that his vehicle had not been stolen from the Big Beaver Tavern parking lot on Aug. 1, as he had reported, but instead had been taken by an acquaintance as a prank, according to Troy police.
