Police Blotter: Items Stolen From Unlocked Vehicles

The following information was supplied by the Troy Police Department. Arrests or charges do not indicate a conviction.

Officers with the responded Wednesday to four theft incidents in which items were reported stolen from unlocked vehicles.

  • Officers were summoned to two theft reports from separate victims in the 6000 block of St. Paul that occurred between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Items reported stolen in the first report included jewelry, sunglasses, an owner's manual, gym bag, tools, a phone charger and coins that were taken from a 2006 Mercedes-Benz parked in a driveway. The second theft occurred after someone entered the complainant's open garage and stole a camera, cellphone, clothing and a navigation unit from three unlocked vehicles.
  • Police said a wallet was stolen between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7:45 a.m. Wednesday from an unlocked 2010 Dodge Charger in the 6000 block of Peacock. The victim's identification and credit cards were located later near Ottawa and Peacock, about a block west of Rochester Road.
  • A fourth theft occurred between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday when someone entered an unlocked 2011 GMC Terrain in the 1000 block of Aspinwall and removed a navigation unit and iPod. The area is about a block northwest of West Square Lake Road and Livernois Road.
