UPDATE: Missing Elderly Man Located, Returned Home Safely
Jon Lawrence Vieux, 73, went missing Thursday morning from a neighborhood near The Somerset Collection.
UPDATE (9:45 a.m. on Nov. 23) – Jon Lawrence Vieux, missing since Thursday morning, has been located and safely returned home, according to Troy Police.
Troy Police are actively searching for a missing mentally disabled adult, 73-year-old Jon Lawrence Vieux, who was last seen around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, when he went for a walk on Hamlet Drive in Troy (just northeast of The Somerset Collection).
Vieux was last seen wearing prescription eyeglasses, vintage style black/red checkered pattern hunting jacket, blue jeans, and white colored tennis shoes. He is 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds.

Vieux lives in New York and was visiting family for Thanksgiving on Hamlet Drive. He is unfamiliar with the area and is on prescription medication for diabetes, a heart condition and high blood pressure.
According to his family, Vieux can communicate, though he has a hard time understanding his location or directions.
