Troy Police Arrest Multi-Jurisdictional Home Invasion Suspect and More

The following information about police incidents is taken directly from the most recent Troy Police Department media releases.

Troy Police investigators working with police in Warren arrested Wisam Youkhana, 28, of Sterling Heights, for a home invasion in Warren on Wednesday. Youkhana is suspected in multiple home invasions in Troy and surrounding communities, police said in a release issued Friday.

Multiple personal items were recovered in Youkhana’s vehicle linking him to the crimes in Troy, according to police. Youkhana was arraigned in Warren on Friday and charges are being pursued in the Troy incidents.  

Retail fraud

  • Kohl’s, 1265 Coolidge Hwy., Oct. 14, 3:15 p.m.: Loss prevention advised the suspect was observed selecting a sweatshirt, pulling of the tags and putting it on. The suspect then left the store without paying for the sweatshirt. Officers stopped the suspect and recovered the sweatshirt valued at $44. The suspect, a 46-year-old from Taylor had prior convictions for retail fraud. The suspect was arrested for second-degree retail fraud.
  • Sears, 300 W. 14 Mile Rd., Oct. 14, 3:50 p.m.: Loss prevention advised the suspect was observed selecting a Dyson vacuum and exiting the store without paying for the vacuum. Loss prevention stopped the suspect and recovered the merchandise valued at $499.99. The suspect, a 26-year-old from Mount Clemens was arrested for second-degree retail fraud.
  • Macy’s, 2750 W. Big Beaver Rd., Oct. 14, 8:45 p.m.: Loss prevention advised two suspects were observed selecting merchandise and concealing it in shopping bags they carried. The suspects left the store failing to pay for the merchandise. Loss prevention stopped the suspects and recovered the merchandise valued at $156. The suspects, a 17-year-old from Birmingham and an 18-year-old from Franklin were both arrested for third-degree retail fraud.
  • Sears, 300 W. 14 Mile Rd., Oct. 16, 6:48 p.m.: Loss prevention advised the suspect was observed loading garbage with merchandise. The suspect left the store without paying for the merchandise. Loss prevention stopped the suspect and recovered $1,425 worth of merchandise. The suspect had several prior convictions for Retail Fraud. The suspect, a 66-year-old from Detroit was arrested for retail fraud.
  • Kohl’s, 1265 Coolidge Hwy., Oct. 16, 7:03 p.m.: Loss prevention advised the suspect was observed selecting merchandise and placing it in a duffle bag he was carrying. The suspect then exited the store without paying for merchandise. Officers were waiting outside the store and stopped the suspect. The suspect had a glass pipe in his pocket used to smoke crack cocaine. The suspect was arrested for retail fraud and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. 
  • Kohl’s, 500 John R Rd., Oct. 16, 7:44 p.m.: Loss prevention advised two suspects were observed selecting clothing and jewelry. The suspects went into the fitting rooms and concealed the jewelry in their purses. The suspects went to the checkout and paid for some items however not for the jewelry in their purses. Loss prevention stopped the suspects recovering the merchandise valued at $98. The suspects, a 21-year-old from Clawson and a 23-year-old from Royal Oak were arrested for third-degree retail fraud.
  • Sears, 300 W. 14 Mile Rd., Oct. 17, 1:50 p.m.: Loss prevention advised two suspects were observed selecting merchandise and entering the fitting rooms. When the suspects left the fitting room they were not carrying any merchandise. When loss prevention checked the fitting rooms the merchandise was gone. The suspects left the store failing to pay for the merchandise. Loss prevention stopped the suspects and recovered the merchandise valued at $270.97. The suspects, both 18-years-old and from Southfield were arrested for third-degree retail fraud.
