Troy Police Department Announces 2014 Citizens Police Academy

The Troy Police Department is presenting a “Citizens Police Academy”.  The eight-week program will begin on February 11, 2014 and will meet on eight consecutive Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.  The last evening for the Academy will be April 1, 2014.

Police employees will offer residents and business owners insight into how police officers perform their duties and how the Troy Police Department serves the community. The purpose of this program is to allow attendees to become familiar with their Police Department through classroom instruction and practical experience. It is the Police Department’s intent to share with participants “who we are and what we do.”

Presentations are scheduled at the Troy Police Department Emergency Operations Center at 500 West Big Beaver Road, the Troy Fire & Police Training Center at 4850 John R, and Fire Station No. 3 at 2400 West Big Beaver Road.
