Troy Police Department Joins Twitter
The department will use the social networking tool as another way to disseminate information to Troy residents.
The announced Friday it is now on Twitter.
"As with our website and Facebook page, we will use Twitter as another social networking tool to enhance our communication and service to the public," reads a press release from the department.
"Our intention is to give our citizens near-instant alerts, notifications, and updates on situations that may affect them, such as crashes affecting traffic flow, police situations, weather alerts, and Amber Alerts."
