President Obama and South Korean President Lee Myung-bak spoke about a trade agreement between the United States and South Korea that they said will provide economic benefits and employment to both countries.

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and President Barack Obama scored a grand slam Friday as they appeared at the GM Orion Assembly Plant in Orion Township to talk about trade between the two countries.

President Lee stole the show from the get-go as he donned a flat-billed Detroit Tigers hat, with Obama driving opening remarks home by commenting on the Detroit Lions' victory over the Chicago Bears on Monday.

The purpose of the event was to discuss a trade agreement approved by the two countries that they said would provide economic benefit on each side of the Pacific Ocean. Obama, who said the trade agreement is fair because it not only allows for Korean-made vehicles to be imported, but allows for the export of American made vehicles to Korea.

President Lee finished his comments by speaking about the resurgence of Detroit to its former Motown glory and the return of the auto industry. Obama then energized the crowd with a message of hope for the hard-struck auto industry.
