Santa to Host Tree Lighting Event at Troy City Hall

The free event on Dec. 5 is open to all and will feature caroling, hot cocoa, holiday treats and, of course, Santa Claus!

The following information was provided by the City of Troy.

The City of Troy will hold a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5. at Troy City Hall. The event is free for all ages. 

Children are invited to visit with Santa Claus after he lights the Christmas tree. The Athens High School Choirs (Magic! & Concert Choir), directed by Michelle Marszalkowski, will lead the caroling. Please sing along!

The Troy Colts Drumline will perform and everyone will enjoy hot cocoa and holiday sweets. Special costumed characters will meet with children courtesy of Great Clips, Troy.

The event will be held in front of City Hall at the Veteran’s Plaza and cablecast on WTRY (WOW 10/Comcast 17).
