Barnard Fair Provides Pint-Sized Fun, Helps Red Cross, too
Elementary school partners with Inpro Insurance an Red Cross to provide a fun fair and blood drive during which 150 pints of blood were collected.
Children had their faces painted and played carnival games last week while parents donated blood at the Fun Fair.
End result: 150 pints of blood collected, with an equal number of kids covered in face paint, cotton candy and smiles.
The fair, held in conjunction with Inpro Insurance Group, allowed parents and children to purchase wristbands to access all of the attractions at the fun fair – food stands, carnival games, inflatables, face-painting and balloon animals made by clowns.

A big hit among the children were the giant Nestle bunny, who came from the Nestle Toll House Cafe, and the princesses, who came from Tea Party Castle.

More than 200 people attended the Red Cross blood drive, according to the Troy School District website, and more than 150 pints of blood were collected in what was the largest elementary school blood drive in the state.
