Pro Jazz Violinist to Join Troy High Orchestra at Annual Gala

The Troy High School Orchestras, under the direction of Alan R. MacNair, present the Twenty-Second Annual Gala Concert on Saturday, February 1, 2014.  The elegant evening, which features the Freshman, Concert and Symphony Orchestras along with the ever-popular Troy Country Fiddlers will begin at 7 pm at Troy High School’s auditorium, at 4777 Northfield Parkway in Troy, Michigan, with an afterglow immediately following.

The Orchestras will be joined by Special Guest, Jazz Violinist Randy Sabien.  Randy Sabien is a bluesy, rocking, swinging, funky, jazz violinist with an intensely rhythmic, vibrant and inventive style.  He has captivated audiences worldwide, playing with scores of bands and musicians of all stripes. Emmy Award-winning news Fox 2 reporter and Troy High Alumni Roop Raj will act as Master of Ceremonies.

Refreshments (coffee, tea and sparkling cider) will be served, along with hors d’oeuvres provided by local eateries including: Ashoka, Cedar Grille, China Chef, Hollywood Market, Kalamata Greek Grill, La Botana, La Marsa, Maggiano's Little Italy, McCormick and Schmidt's, Picano’s, Ridley’s Bakery, Royal Indian Cuisine, Starbucks, and Tokyo Sushi, with flowers donated by Accent Florist.
