Overnight Snow Closes Troy School District on Friday

The snow is expected to continue to fall until 10 a.m. Friday, the National Weather Service says.

After a night of snow that began soon after midnight, the Troy School District has closed for the day.

The district is among many in Metro Detroit to close on Friday, including nearby districts in Rochester Hills, Birmingham and Clawson, according to clickondetroit.com.

A Winter Weather Advisory expires at 7 p.m. Friday after a low-pressure system moved into southeastern Michigan overnight, bringing the threat of snow with it.

The snow will continue to fall until 10 a.m. with the high reaching 31 degrees today. A total daytime accumulation of one to three inches is possible.
