Stuff a Subaru in February to Help Detroit Dog Rescue

Items donated at Suburban Subaru of Troy will benefit homeless and stray dogs in Detroit.

Subaru is known as being “Dog Tested. Dog Approved,” and now, Suburban Subaru of Troy is giving back to Detroit's furry four-legged friends by collecting much-needed items all month long during its "Stuff a Subaru" event.

Items donated in February will benefit the Detroit Dog Rescue. Suggested donation items include:

  • Gallon water jugs
  • Dog food (adult, puppy, any brand)
  • Soft, meaty dog treats
  • Large dog bowls
  • Blankets and towels
  • Dog beds
  • Dog collars and leashes (large, thick, and durable)
  • Crates and kennels (wire or plastic)
  • Dog toys (heavy duty, durable brands for our big chewers)
  • Flea & Tick preventatives (spray, topical, shampoos)
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Medical supplies
  • Paper towels
  • Gas gift cards for the field agent DDR van

The Detroit Dog Rescue's mission is to create a state-of-the-art no kill shelter in Detroit and to  “(raise) awareness for the plight of the forgotten, homeless and stray dogs of Detroit.”
