New Troy LA Fitness Preps for Grand Opening

Troy’s new LA Fitness location on West Maple location is one of the international fitness chain's most luxurious clubs, boasting state-of-the-art equipment and countless amenities. The Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber recently joined LA Fitness for a ribbon-cutting ceremony in preparation for their upcoming grand opening on Saturday, Aug. 10.

The new facility features full court basketball, three racquetball courts, a 25 yard three lane lap pool, a whirlpool spa, spacious locker rooms with showers and saunas, a group exercise studio, and a separate indoor cycling room. These amenities complement a full array of equipment, including over 227 pieces of the latest generation cardio equipment with individual viewing screens, selectorized circuit training, and free weight areas.

Members can participate in a variety of group fitness classes seven days a week including Zumba, aqua, indoor cycling, dance classes, Pilates and yoga at no additional charge, and many find that they enjoy group classes not only for the fitness benefit they provide but also as a means for social connection. Personal training, league play, towel service and babysitting services and a juice bar are also available. 

Saturday’s grand opening event is free to the public and will kick off at 10 a.m. inviting local residents to experience the new state-of-the-art club and enjoy complimentary workouts and fitness assessments, a sample class, healthy snacks, club tours, and an Apple iPad grand prize giveaway. The event will also feature a live DJ, the Channel 955 street team, kiddie train rides and a face painting clown for kids.
