Grow Your Heart Three Sizes: Celebrate The Grinch This Weekend

Barnes & Noble Rochester Hills to Celebrate "Grinch Day"

  • When: Sunday, Dec. 1, 7 p.m.
  • Where: Barnes & Noble (2800 S. Rochester Rd., Rochester Hills)
  • What: Grinch Day celebrates the beloved green curmudgeon from the Dr. Seuss classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, with a storytime and fun and games. Grinch Day also launches the “25 Days of Grinch-mas,” a campaign encouraging children to “grow their hearts three sizes” by doing one good deed each day. Booksellers will provide children with Grinch “Grow Your Heat Chart,” inviting them to draw a heart around each nice thing they do leading up to Christmas.

42nd Annual Elf Shelf Arts & Crafts Show

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 30, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Where: Troy High School (4777 Northfield Pkwy.)
  • What: Admission of $3 per person for anyone over the age of 12.  All proceeds support Troy Women's Association projects throughout the year. TWA is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. 

Macy's to Stay Open 26 Straight Hours

  • When: Thursday, Nov. 28, 8 p.m.
  • Where: The Somerset Collection (2800 W. Big Beaver Rd., Troy)
  • What: On Black Friday, Nov. 29, Somerset Collection will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Macy’s will be open at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving night, Nov. 28, and will stay open for 26 straight hours.
