The American Polish Cultural Center offers a host of activities for Polish Americans, and those who admire and appreciate Polish history and heritage. Activities include card parties, folk dancing lessons, language classes and summer socials, to name but a few. The center has a library that helps members learn more about the history of Poland, and the role of Polish Americans in building Detroit. There is also the Wawel Restaurant, named after the famous historic castle in Krakow. The restaurant offers professional off-site catering and takeout. About 450 guests can be accommodated in the main banquet hall, which can serve as the gathering place for reunions, christenings, communions, weddings, corporate events and other parties.
