For 364 days out of the year, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) spends its time tracking airplanes, missiles, space ships—anything flying near the United States and Canada. But on Christmas Eve, a team of volunteers spends the night tracking a very special pilot: Santa Claus. "We are the only organization that has the technology, the qualifications and the people to do it," NORAD said on its website. Zion Christian Church will host a live nativity scene on Sunday, Dec. 23 during the 10 a.m. service, complete with llamas, donkeys, sheep and even a camel. "This is our third year hosting the live nativity and it's becoming a cherished tradition," senior pastor Scott LeLacheur said. "The animals make the Christmas story come to life and it's amazing to watch the children's faces light up when they see them." The service will feature Christmas carols and a short dramatic presentation of the Christmas story, as well as the live nativity. I got an Acer Chromebook. Didn't ask for it and am not sure it will be useful for me. Kind of scratching my head over what niche market it is supposed to fulfill, it's not a laptop (on-the-go PC) nor a tablet (which would be useful for digital magazines and newspapers). more ›
