Kroger Recalls Fresh Selections Spinach
Kroger stores in 15 states, including Michigan, are recalling some packages of fresh spinach that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Source: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration The Kroger family of Stores in 15 states – which includes all four Kroger stores in Troy – is asking customers to check their refrigerators for certain Kroger Fresh Selections Tender Spinach 10 ounce packages (UPC: 0001111091649) with a "best if used by" date of Sept. 16. This product, supplied by NewStar Fresh Foods, is being recalled because the product may contain Listeria monocytogenes. If eaten, Listeria monocytogenes could result in severe illness to those individuals who are pregnant or have a weakened immune system.
